Minnesota Native Landscape.  A look at a company that strives to restore what nature and man has destroyed.  The process of free-range grazing, burning, cutting, and planting to restore and sustain the native landscapes of Minnesota.

Martin Luther King March St. Paul, Minnesota, January 19, 2015.  Crowds gathered on Snelling Avenue in St. Paul to show their support for equal rights and demonstrated support for desegregation of humanity.  

The aftermath of the 2013, Moore, Oklahoma tornado.  I was given the opportunity to volunteer with a local church in clean-up efforts.  The faith of the community and compassion of volunteers that came together was a an amazing experience.  The volunteers came from all over the United States with trucks full of water, food, diapers, and many more items.  

Ty Sunderman is truly a compassionate and spiritual being.  Death is not a subject many would approach with ease, but Sunderman took me through a day in his life and I was given insight into what lies at the core of a mortuary business.  It was apparent that a strong faith-base and a good sense of humor was the common thread among a professional staff.  

Nate's Barbershop is a walk back in time.  The owner, Nate, and his partner, Don, are a dynamic duo.  From the moment you walk in the door of the historic St. Peter building, you are made to feel at home.  I was given the privilege to spend two amazing days filled with facial cramps and belly laughs photographing and videotaping Nate and Don.  There is a genuine quality about them that is so rare.  The customer service and quality of haircuts have been the backbone of success of Nate's Barbershop.  The bantering is free...

This was a project was in dedicated to my father, Lee Hulegaard, who was a Navy Veteran.  This is a open-ended project that I will continue to add to my portfolio.  The men and women who serve so you and I are able to live free is one that should never be taken for granted.  All they ask in return is for a place to bury their men...
